Technology and Participation Requirements
Confluence Training courses are interactive working sessions — not lectures or webinars.
Participants are expected to actively engage in small and large group discussions, breakout rooms, and collaborative activities. Your preparation and participation contribute to the learning experience for everyone.
Online Courses
Online courses are delivered on Zoom.
Participants will need to:

Join from their own device (shared screens or devices are not permitted)

Use a laptop or desktop computer

Have a working webcam and microphone
-
Join from a quiet location where you are able to speak and be heard

Access required collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom, Miro, Google)
Additional recommendations for the best experience:

Use a headset with a microphone if joining from a shared office environment

Disable ad blockers so embedded tools function properly

Avoid private/incognito browsing mode

Close bandwidth-heavy applications
-
Confirm access with your IT team if using a government or corporate device
We are not able to provide individualized technical troubleshooting during class.
In-Person Courses
In-person courses also require the use of collaboration platforms.
Participants will need to:

Bring their own laptop (one device per participant)

Be able to access required collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro, Google)
No account setup or downloads are required in advance.

We use tools such as:

Google Docs and Sheets
Course materials will be shared via Google Drive.
Please use a device with a keyboard to support active participation.
