Gavin Ploger

Gavin Ploger, Ph.D., is a researcher in communication and media who teaches at the University of Michigan. As an advisor to Confluence Training, he contributes expertise in learning and survey design, helping ensure that our training and evaluation are grounded in evidence-based practice and current research.

His research examines political communication, public opinion, and media environments in the United States, with particular attention to how news and social media shape polarization and democratic decision-making. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2023.
